The lesson of the day at Summit's Lawton C. Johnson Middle School one Friday last month: How to build a pond. On Sept. 21, the crew of Full Service Aquatics and Landscaping, a local company, reported to the school's interior courtyard as classes convened.

Once the nondescript trailer underneath the Baldwin Bridge was control center for the engineering and construction team that built the new bridge. Now, it has been transformed into the headquarters of the Maritime Education Network.
